Payments and Licensing:

What payment methods are accepted?

Windows app purchases accept all major debit cards, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express, Discover, JCB, etc.), Paypal and Google Pay from customers in most countries.

I bought the app on Android. Do I have to buy again on Windows?

Our app’s purchase and licensing model is based on a per-platform basis. For instance, when you buy the app on Android, you can use it across multiple Android devices linked to the same Gmail account used during the purchase. However, separate purchases are necessary for other platforms like Windows, iOS, and MacOS due to their distinct operating systems and the effort required to develop platform-specific versions. Additionally, each app store deducts a commission from purchases made within their ecosystem. This approach ensures cost-effectiveness for users, allowing them to buy only what they need. Rest assured, we’ll always offer a free version on every platform for those who may not be able to make a purchase. Thank you.

I just bought the app on Windows. How can I unlock the full version?

You would have received your order invoice in your email with the instruction to unlock the app. If not, please Contact Us to receive the invoice email.

You can unlock the app by clicking 'Register' from the top-right corner menu of the app's maps-list window. The required details for registration are sent to the email you provided along with the order invoice.

License registration on Windows fails with the message 'Invalid license!'. How can I fix this?

First, please make sure your license has not expired, or you are not using Android version registration code on Windows app. Some people make mistake while entering the password. You can try logging on to your account on our website to verify if the password you entered is correct. If you have changed or forgotten the password, you can reset it by clicking the link 'Forgot Password' in the registration window.

I bought the app on Windows, but after a while it reverted back to free version. How can I fix this?

I bought the app on Android. It is not recognizing the purchase, or it reverted back to free version. How can I upgrade to the full version?

All payments and licensing for miMind on Android are managed by Google. Sometimes they are slow at processing the payment. Please allow an hour or two for Google to synchronize the license information across all their servers. If it is still not working please try the following:

  • Update the app from Play Store if you have not already.
  • Try clearing the 'Google Play' storage cache: Go to your device Settings > Application Manager > Scroll down to 'Google Play Store' > Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data. Then restart miMind. Did that fix it?
  • If you have multiple Google accounts on your device, try removing all accounts except the one which you used when purchasing the app. Did that fix it?
  • Uninstall and reinstall the app after backing up map files.

What is your refund policy?

Since the processing of refunds not only lead to loss of payment processing fees, and refund processing fees, but are also loss of valuable resources such as time and energy, users are strongly encouraged to try out the free version of the software for as long as it is needed, and only purchase the professional or full version on complete satisfaction. However, in the event you would like a refund on a purchase, please notify us as soon as possible. We'll provide a full refund within 30 days from the time of purchase. No refunds allowed after 30 days from the date of the purchase.

I would like to work on a map from multiple devices. Is it possible?

Yes, it is possible in the miMind Pro version to auto-sync maps to multiple devices through the cloud services such as Google Drive and Dropbox. It is suggested to work on a map file on one device at a time, and make sure the map file is synchronized on the cloud drive before editing it on another device to avoid conflicts in the map file.

Can multiple people work on a same map from multiple devices?

As of now, miMind free or pro version does NOT have the feature to collaborate with multiple users in real time.

How can I download the app on Ubuntu, Fedora, or other Linux distributions?

Linux version is not available at the moment, but it's in our road map. Many of our users have informed us that they are successfully running the miMind Windows version on Linux machines through Wine (Windows emulator). A few features may not work properly on Wine.

Other app issues:

On Android, I lost my maps after the recent update. How can I fix it?

In some situation, such as uninstalling and reinstalling the app, the file permission for miMind is lost and miMind is unable to see any projects. In this case, Open the app > go to its settings from top-right corner menu > Click 'Add from the public folder' to see your maps.

If that does not help, you may try creating a new map, and insert an image to a node from your device gallery. If the file permission is missing, the app should ask for the permission. After granting the permission, you can go back to main menu, and restart the app.

The default maps folder on Android is <device storage>/miMind/Maps. You can browse to open map from this folder directly.

I am unable to run the miMind Windows version on my PC. How can I fix it?

The issue has been reported by a few users with older PCs, or PCs with incompatible graphics card. miMind requires PCs with graphics card supporting OpenGL version 2.0 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenGL#OpenGL_2.0) or higher to support its advance graphics. Some users have reported that updating Windows OS has fixed the issue for them.
